Ross replaces Todd Mangum, who resigned earlier this year. Mangum amassed a 46-15 record in five years at Ocean Springs.
Last year, the Greyhounds were 7-5 and qualified for the post-season.
Mangum left Oceans Springs to take an assistant job at Madison Central.
